Arkansas...

Emmalyn and I recently went to Arkansas to visit my family for an early Christmas gathering. We both had so much fun and can't wait to go back. Thanks Aunt Katy for being such a great host. We miss all of you very much!

Emmalyn and I went to Arkansas this past week to have our annual family Christmas. (A bit early this year.) We had so much fun visiting her Grandparents and cousins!

We recently had some pictures made. Emma did great! She was in such a happy mood even though she missed her afternoon nap.  Such a trooper!

Our big girl is now ready for a convertible car seat! Not sure if she loves it yet by the look on her face. ;-)

Emma was a Chili Pepper for Halloween. She had a fun first Halloween and was still in bed by 7:00!

Halloween...

The time is going by so fast! Halloween is now over and the holidays are around the corner! Yikes!  This is such a fun time with Emma experiencing her first holidays and Brian and I experiencing our first holidays as parents. We are trying to soak up all the special moments.

Emma is six months old now and sitting up all by herself!

This is Emma and our friend Laura 2 days before Laura's baby was born. Emma is SO excited to meet her new playmate, Sarah Jane Sprague. Congratulations James and Laura!

Happy Girl...

Even after her 6 month shots, Emma still seems to be the happiest baby on the block! Such a big girl!

Girl on the go...

Emma has learned how to wiggle herself out of our laps! The days of rocking and cuddling are long gone now. She is constantly on the move! Brian and I are trying to keep up as best we can these days with our squirmy worm. How did this happen so fast?

Gearing up for winter...

Now that we have experienced a Seattle winter, we know we need to bundle our baby to keep her out of the wind and rain. We're hoping her new hat will keep her nice and cozy.

Our little angel has such a fun personality! She has developed quite the singing voice lately. It sounds like screaming, but we know she is just practicing for her opera debut. Keep on singing sweet girl!

Nana and Grandpa sent a little gift for "Back to school time". We used it to buy Emma her much needed high chair. She loves it! And as you can see it will be very useful in her daily studies. :-)

Labor Day...

Brian and I took a trip over Labor Day with some friends of ours out to Mt. Rainier. We all shared a cabin and had a blast. We roasted marshmallows, drank hot chocolate, and wore our long pants to bed. Got to love Washington in September! We were able to hike up the mountain a bit with our 17.5 pound baby in tow. I think it's time for you to start walking soon 'little' one! Xoxo!

Emma has recently learned to put her foot in her mouth and now does this ALL the time! So we have decided she will probably take after my side of the family for sure!

More Milestones...

Rolling over, laughing, and attempting to sit up on her own! Our big girl is growing so fast. We are trying to soak up every minute of her new discoveries. This has been such a big week - it's amazing how much babies learn in such a short time. (Especially ours - because she is a genius!!)

Best Daddy...

Brian has been traveling this week and we have missed him very much. So we thought we would put a couple of our favorite Emma and Daddy pictures up to let him know we are thinking of him.

Emma likes to help Daddy work sometimes. He's teaching her the ropes of the business.

New toy...

Emma is so excited about her new toy! Brian and I got her a jumper/exersaucer for her to play in. She is really wanting to move around on her own, but doesn't quite have the stability yet to do so - so we thought this might help her out a bit. She loves it so far and as you can see - it really wears her out!
