Milestones...
I know everyone thinks their baby is the cutest thing to ever exist, but look at this baby! I just can't get over how amazing she is. I am so in awe that this little creature has gone from the newborn stages to infant in these few short months. Our big girl has now found her feet and can grab her favorite toys, (to chew on of course!) She has been sucking her thumb for quite a while now. Brian and I really tried to get her to go for the pacifier instead, but the thumb has actually turned out to be a great thing for her and for us! She can calm herself at night and we all love that! We just got her a new teething toy and it has quickly become her favorite. "Sophie the Giraffe", pictured above, is her new daily must have!

Little bug...
Our big girl is now weighing in at 15 lbs! She had her 4 month checkup this Monday and her pediatrician says she looks great. 95th percentile in weight, 90th percentile height!
Although, she has been fighting off a little tummy bug this week and has been waking up 3 time at night! It's like having a newborn again! She's all worth it though. Brian and I have been tag teaming and pushing through the lack of sleep. More than anything, it is so hard to see your baby not feeling well.
Feel better soon Baby Girl!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!
We celebrated Brian's first birthday with Emma this past Sunday. Last year at this time we had just found out we were pregnant. It's amazing how much can happen in a year. It's been the best year of our lives and we would not trade one single minute. Happy Birthday Daddy. We love you!!

Home Sweet Home...
I took Emma on her first trip to Arkansas to see my family. We had so much fun spending time with everyone and Emma loved getting to know her cousins! She even had her first swimming experience! We think we may have a future Olympian on our hands. ;-)

Summer wear...
Emmalyn is getting all geared up for summer! The temperature is getting warmer up here in the NorthWest so it's time to get ready for the heat! Baby Emma and I are traveling to Arkansas this week to visit her cousins, aunts, and Grandad. She's so excited! We can't wait for her first baby swim in Aunt Katy's pool!

Three months later...
Hello Everyone!
Wow- what a ride this has been thus far. Our beautiful baby girl will be three months old this Thursday! These first three months have been quite a blur between the lack of sleep, c-section recovery, and moving into a new house - but I am happy to say that all the craziness has been so worth it just to see our baby girl smile and grow into a healthy happy 3 month old!
We have been so blessed to have had our families come out to visit and spend time with baby Emmalyn. My Mom, Grandad, Sister Lacy, my Dad, and Brian's parents have all already made the long trip to Seattle to see her.
Thank you to everyone for all of your phone calls, letters, and emails. Now that our baby girl is sleeping through the night (most nights) I think we will hopefully be able to get back on the "blog wagon".
Love to All!!
I know a few pictures are of Emma's "sad face" but I think she looks so adorable in these I just had to share.
